Representative Attorney, Taejin Kim
Partner, Attorney Taejin Kim
Taejin Kim specializes
in business counseling, criminal litigation, intellectual property, tax,
customs, and legal services for foreigners.
As a public
prosecutor, he mainly dealt with cases relating to tax, customs, and foreign
exchange matters, and U.S. Forces crimes. With his wide experience in these
areas, Attorney Kim maintains a strong interest in international transaction
and criminal law.
Attorney Kim has
an excellent record in criminal litigation, securing not guilty verdicts in
many high profile cases, such as the widely reported ‘octopus’ murder case and
a Chinese murder case.
Attorney Kim is
especially interested in intellectual property rights. As such, he represented
a mid-sized company whose business secret had been stolen by a conglomerate. He
successfully won the civil and criminal cases brought against the company, and as
a result the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency obtained a search and seizure order
against the conglomerate for the first time in police history.
Utilizing the
extensive experience he gained at the University of California Davis School of Law,
Attorney Kim provides legal counsel and coordinates the interests of foreign
parent companies and their subsidiaries in Korea.
